About Dry Falls

Dry falls is a very full 75-foot waterfall that you can walk all the way behind! At the parking lot you will find bathrooms and picnic tables, making it a great spot to eat your lunch. From there, it is just a short walk to see the falls. The trail is only .25 miles round trip and is paved the entire way. You immediately get beautiful views of the waterfall, but be sure to continue on to walk all the way behind the falls! The ground will be a little wet and can be slippery so be sure to take your time and watch your step!

Other Hikes in the Area

Also along Highway 64, you’ll find Bridal Veil Falls and Cullasaja Falls. Bridal Veil Falls is just a few minutes up the road from Dry Falls and can be seen right from your car. It’s a smaller waterfall and not quite as impressive, especially if it hasn’t rained recently, but still a fun and quick stop.

Cullasaja Falls is about 10 minutes from Dry Falls, heading towards Franklin. It’s easy to miss since the parking area is just a small pull-off that fits maybe two or three cars. The trail down to the falls is steep and rugged. If you decided to stop here, make sure you’ve got proper footwear. We only went partway down for a better view before heading back up.
