About Me
I’m Caitlyn, the voice and face behind Caitlyn’s Adventures. I grew up in a very small town in Georgia and, honestly, wasn’t much into traveling or the outdoors until college. I took a few road trips and cruises with my family growing up, but never went anywhere that required you to get on a plane.
When did I fall in love with outdoor adventures?
It all started in the summer of 2019 when I worked in Yellowstone National Park for the summer. Surrounded by its stunning, diverse landscapes, I spent my days off hiking, exploring, and discovering all that this beautiful place had to offer. When I returned home, I was ready to plan my next adventure. Since then, my love for hiking and exploring the outdoors has only grown.
Where to next?
After the pandemic I started traveling twice each year with the occasional weekend getaway. Over time, those short trips sparked something bigger, and now I am traveling more each year, exploring new national parks, countries, and adding to my ever-growing bucket list. While my adventures continue to expand, I don’t aspire to travel full-time—I love my home life, the familiarity of routines, and quality time with friends and family. I love the balance of discovering new places and exploring hidden gems close by.
