Where to Stay
When visiting Paradise I recommend staying at the Paradise Inn for at least a few nights. There are numerous trails starting right behind the lodge so this is the perfect location if you’re looking to do a few trails in this area.
Rooms
There are a few different room options, the cheapest being a standard room with a double bed and a hand sink. Shared bathroom and showers are located on each floor for guest to use. They do provide you with slippers and robes to use during your stay. They do have a handful of guest rooms with a private bathroom and suites which have a private bathroom as well as a sitting area.
Restaurants
The Inn has a main dining room that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is buffet style while lunch and dinner is more of a traditional sit down meal.
In the Inn you’ll also find the Tatoosh Cafe which serves coffee and a variety of grab and go options, such as pastries, sandwiches and salads. The prices are going to be higher than places outside the park, which is to be expected.
In the lobby you’ll also find a small shop with misc. souvenir items and a large sitting area with booths, chairs, a large piano and fireplace. This is a nice spot to hangout, eat your meals or play a round of cards. This area is free to use by anyone, not just hotel guests. A private area just for guests can be found upstairs, on the second floor. There is seating and tables that overlook the lobby. This area is quieter with a more relaxed vibe.
Paradise Inn usually opens mid-late May and closes late September. You can find the exact dates they will be open on their website.

This 5.5-mile loop trail is a great option for people who want to really experience the paradise area in one trail. It offers stunning views of Mount Rainier, wildflower meadows, and glaciers.
